President and secretary: Mario Clerc

Mario was born on 8 April 1967 in Langenthal, Switzerland. He works as software developer.

Vice-president: Elizabeth Charo

Elizabeth was born on 20 September 1969 in Mombasa, Kenya. She is married and has two children. She lived in Switzerland from 1993 to 2010.

Treasurer and accountant: Lena Clerc

Lena was born on 1 June 1965 in Allinge-Gudhjem on Bornholm, Denmark. She is an accountant.

Mario and Lena Clerc were married on 15 September 1996 and settled in Switzerland. As they both have a burden to help others physically as well as spiritually, they have chosen to spend their free time in missionary work. For this reason they have decided that Lena should not have any employment so that they have more time to help others. For many years Lena has been involved in humanitarian aid work in Romania. She has organised and accompanied humanitarian aid transports from Denmark to Romania. After their wedding Lena and Mario have kept their contact and continued to support the work in Romania. In 2006, having been in contact with Benson Nganga from Kenya for 10 years, they felt called to extend their work in Africa. They considered founding an association in order to give the work a more official character. This resulted in the foundation of the association “Better Life Mission” on 16 May 2007.

Elizabeth Charo is a housewife. She also wants to make an effort to help others. Having grown up in Kenya her background is a big help and support for the association in their decision making process concerning projects in Kenya. In October 2010, three years after the founding of the association, she and her family moved back to Kenya. She is still supporting the association’s projects in Kenya.

The association is a non-profit-organization and exempt from taxes.
